One to one, live on Zoom

Personalised lessons. Real progress. Human connection.

Marta's own words for what private tutoring is — and after all these years, she has earned the right to keep the description short.

The package

What you get every month

  • 4 private lessons per month (one a week)

  • Live, 1-on-1 sessions with Marta on Zoom

  • Content built around your level, your goals and how you learn

  • Homework, conversation exercises and pronunciation tips

Marta’s current site also mentions a first “8-lesson bundle” for private students, without a separate price. If that is what you want, say so in your message and she will explain how it works.

Investment

On request

for four private sessions, one a week, live with Marta on Zoom.

WhatsApp messages only — she does not take calls. Marta usually replies within 24–48 hours, Monday to Friday.

Why bother, when there are courses

Because a video never asks you a question back

Marta's own list of what a live lesson gives you that a recording cannot.

  • Someone holding you accountable, week after week

  • Instant feedback on your pronunciation and grammar

  • Work on specific goals — exams, moving to Portugal, job interviews

  • Ask questions in real time and avoid the misunderstandings that stick

  • Real conversation practice with a native speaker

  • Confidence built through guided speaking practice

Course or live lesson?

Her comparison, not ours

And her own tip: many students choose to combine both — the course for vocabulary and grammar, the lessons to practise, clear up doubts and speed things up.

Who it suits

Private lessons are right for you if…

  • You need Portuguese for work, family or a move to Portugal.

  • You would rather ask a question than look it up.

  • You have a specific goal and a date attached to it.

What a lesson actually looks like

You meet on Zoom at the time you agreed. The content is built around your level, your goals and the way you learn, so no two students get the same hour. You speak — that is the point — and Marta corrects your pronunciation and your grammar while you are still saying it. You leave with homework and conversation exercises for the week in between.

That description comes from what Marta publishes about the package. The length of a single lesson is not something she states publicly — ask her when you write.

How to start

  1. 1.Take the free level test, so you both start from the same page.
  2. 2.Message her on WhatsApp or by e-mail with your level, what you need Portuguese for, and the days that suit you.
  3. 3.She replies with a time and how to pay, and the first lesson is arranged directly with her.
